Facing Met. Police with some of the team struggling to get to the ground was not going to be easy. And so it proved, as Woods were 8-1 down at half time, the only saving grace being Chad Walker's goal from a shot on the left hand side.
Once Dave Fox and Rich Elderfield got the players in at half-time, threw a few cups around, and re-organised the players who turned up late, Woods had men playing in positions they were more accustomed to.
In the second half Ryan Lee scored his first goal after coming back from a long lay-off caused by injury, and then Kwasi Frempong smashed one in from outside the box.
Northwood actually won the second half 2-1 but lost the game 9-3. However, that second half showed what Northwood could really do.
